Succeeding the horrific Hurricane Katrina, her organization established the only Housing Database to house displaced individuals (featured in Our Weekly newspaper in LA).  In addition, Sherita has coached and/or mentored top global leaders, celebrities and athletes, i.e., former President of Mexico Vicente Fox; UN Ambassador Byron Blake; Oscar Winner Hilary Swank; NBA star Jalen Rose; NFL Great Jim Brown; Civil Rights Leader Myrlie Evers; Film Producer Bill Duke; Actors/ Comedians Anthony Anderson, Hannibal Buress, Michael Collar, and Kim Coles, and so many others.  

As a seasoned community organizer and soldier for social causes, Sherita continues to touch the masses through her knowledge, guidance and facilitation of workshops; annually training thousands of churches, business executives, community leaders and grassroots organizations in the following areas: 1) Corporate Governance and Board Development 2) Nonprofit Management and Formation 3) Program Development 4) Strategic Palling and Capacity Building Methods 5) Grant Procurement 6) For-profit/Nonprofit Collaboration and 7) Community Sustainability Strategies, just to name a few.   

Sherita Herring-Oglesby

As a motivating speaker, Sherita is internationally known for empowering individuals, organizations and world leaders.  Through her skilled facilitation, she has aided in raising over $30 million for global projects, while being instrumental in establishing more than 600 organizations operating in more than 14 countries.  

As an astute lecturer, best-selling author, former radio personality, business strategist, and former LA City Council Candidate, for more than 30 years, Sherita resided in Los Angeles, CA, where she performed economic and strategic planning consulting for political leaders, clergy, schools, and nonprofits, while coaching international business leaders at the Forbes #1 rated business conference (CEO Space), a foremost symposium for entrepreneurial development (2008-present).   

In 2017, Sherita and her husband relocated to the Natural State of Arkansas, where she has consulted with the Arkansas Black Mayors Association (consisting of 50+ African American Mayors), while also teaching grant writing, nonprofit development and business strategies at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in Conway, AR, and National Park College in Hot Springs, AR. 

In September 2019, while on a 3-week trek to Uganda, working with the Precious Kids Foundation’s (PKF) medical mission, the organization treated nearly 6000 of Uganda’s poorest, while Sherita and the PKF Team also spoke to local business and entrepreneur organizations across the region.  

Following the Los Angels Rodney King Riots, with an ultimate goal to aid with the city's redevelopment, she worked with several South LA organizations to aid in creating jobs, reducing crime, enhancing literacy, building stronger families, serving the elderly, empowering youth, and more.  Consulting directly with the AAUC organization, she was instrumental in securing nearly $1,5 million dollars for redevelopment efforts.
